A good bed lets your dog stretch out and curl up. Measure your dog nose-to-tail while they’re lying down, then add room to move.
How to measure
- Measure your dog from nose to base of tail while lying relaxed.
- Add roughly 15–25 cm so they can stretch out fully.
- For pets that like to curl, you can size down slightly for a snug, den-like feel.
| Size | Typical internal length | Rough guide |
|---|---|---|
| S | up to ~50 cm | toy & small breeds |
| M | ~50–70 cm | Small–medium dogs |
| L | ~70–90 cm | Medium–large dogs |
| XL | 90 cm + | Large & giant breeds |
Ranges are approximate and vary by style. Always check this product’s Specifications for its exact dimensions.
Full description
Bedding that can't come apart to wash tends to get left as it is far longer than anyone would admit, which is usually where the smell starts.
This is Dubex's Cheesecake bed: a bold exterior with a soft plush inner cushion, built in a rectangular shape with a non-slip base. The cushion cover is removable and machine-washable, and Dubex say the design suits dogs who like to stretch out or settle in rather than curl tightly.
- Plush inner cushion
- Removable, machine-washable cushion cover
- Rectangular shape, suited to stretching out or settling in
- Non-slip base
- Available in Green and Teal
- Small size
On the measurements. Dubex give this as a Small bed but no length or width in centimetres, so if you need an exact footprint for a crate or a specific corner, there's nothing on our source to measure against.
Who it's for: owners who want a bed they can strip and wash properly rather than spot-clean, in either green or teal, for a dog that stretches out rather than curls into a tight ball.

Why we chose it
A cushion cover that's genuinely machine-washable, rather than just removable and hand-wash only, is the detail that decides it over a similar-looking bed without that spec confirmed. The non-slip base is a small thing that matters a lot on a hard floor.
