Working and sporting puppies burn through energy at a rate that a standard puppy food isn't always built to match, which is the gap Dr John's Puppy recipe is aimed at. It's formulated specifically for puppies of sporting and working breeds rather than puppies generally.

The recipe leads with poultry meal, wheat, barley and maize, with chicken fat, maize gluten, beet pulp and salmon oil at 1.25% as a source of Omega-3, plus FOS and yucca extract. Crude protein sits at 27% with crude oils and fats at 15%, a richer profile than most everyday puppy foods.
