Dogs get bored of a flavour a lot faster than the box it came in suggests, and a variety pack is the cheap fix for that without committing to four separate boxes.

Burns' Variety Box holds four recipes, two 395G pouches of each: Free-Range Chicken, Wholesome Turkey, Wild Fish and Hearty Lamb. Each is built the same way — a named meat or fish at 26%, carrots at 25-26%, brown rice at 12.5%, plus minerals, with fish oil added to the Wild Fish recipe. The nutrition differs slightly by recipe: Free-Range Chicken runs protein 6.5%, fat 3.9%, ash 2%, fibre 0.6%, moisture 75%; Wholesome Turkey protein 7%, fat 3.5%, ash 2.2%, fibre 0.4%, moisture 73%; Wild Fish protein 6.3%, fat 2%, fibre 0.4%, moisture 77%.

• Four recipes, two 395G pouches of each: Free-Range Chicken, Wholesome Turkey, Wild Fish, Hearty Lamb
• Named meat or fish at 26% in each recipe, carrots 25-26%, brown rice 12.5%
• Fish oil included in the Wild Fish recipe
• Protein ranges 6.3-7% and fat 2-3.9% across the recipes we have full figures for
• Classed as a complementary food, not a complete one

What the label doesn't say: despite reading like a full meal, Burns class this box as a complementary food rather than a complete one, so it is meant to sit alongside a dog's usual complete diet rather than replace it outright.

Who it's for: owners who want to rotate flavours for a fussy dog, or add a wet topper to a complete kibble, without buying four different boxes to do it.
