A grain intolerance is often easier to pin down than a protein one, because there's usually a clearer starting point - a food change, a new treat, digestive upset that didn't settle until grain came out of the diet. Confirming it properly means removing grain deliberately, not guessing from a label.

This recipe replaces cereal grain with potato and buckwheat as the carbohydrate base, while keeping the same single-protein approach as Burns' other sensitive recipes: duck is the only animal protein in the bowl.
