A puppy eating five kilograms one month can be eating thirty the next, which is why a feeding guide printed as a single daily amount is only ever right for one size of dog on one day of its life. Barking Heads answer that with a table that runs from 5kg right up to 30kg and beyond, so the guidance moves with the puppy rather than staying fixed.

The recipe itself is 85% chicken, split between 60% fresh deboned chicken and 25% chicken broth, slow cooked with sweet potato, carrot, courgette and peas rather than cereal fillers. It is a complete food, formulated to be the whole meal rather than something added to another food, and it carries no added grain.
