A bed that only looks cosy in the shop photo and then gets abandoned within a week is usually the wrong shape for how the animal actually sleeps — most cats and small dogs that seek out corners and boxes want walls around them, not just softness underneath.

This one is built as an enclosed cave rather than a flat cushion: a sherpa fleece outer designed to hold the animal's own scent, around a removable inner cushion filled with recycled fibre. It measures 45 x 40cm.

What we don't know. There's no entrance width given, so we can't tell you how easily a bigger cat or a stockier small dog will fit through the opening — 45 x 40cm is the overall bed, not the doorway into it.

Who it's for: a cat or small dog that already sleeps tucked into boxes, under tables or behind furniture, and would use a bed built around the same instinct rather than an open cushion.
