Pro Plan for small breeds
Pro Plan doesn't currently badge a dedicated 'Small Breed' recipe within the range we stock, so if that's the exact product you're after, it isn't one we can point you to. What we can offer instead is an honest look at the Pro Plan products we do carry and which of them realistically suit a smaller dog.
What we actually stock from Pro Plan
Our Pro Plan range includes Everyday Nutrition recipes for adult dogs, along with medium and large breed puppy formulas and a couple of specific-need adult recipes. None of what we currently carry is labelled specifically for small breeds, so a smaller dog's owner is choosing from the same general recipes rather than a size-specific line.
Pro Plan as a brand covers a wide range of life stages and needs across the wider market, but the selection available through us at any given time reflects what we currently have in stock, and that changes as it does.
Getting the portion right for a small dog
Without a size-specific recipe, the main lever available for a smaller dog is portion size rather than kibble size, and it's worth following the feeding guide on the pack closely for your dog's actual weight rather than estimating. A smaller dog on a standard-kibble food will simply eat a smaller measured amount than a larger dog would.
If kibble size specifically is a concern — for a very small or toy breed who struggles with a standard-sized kibble — it's worth considering a food genuinely formulated with a small kibble, which may mean looking at a different range or brand for that particular need.
