Pro Plan sensitive stomach — what we actually stock
Our Pro Plan range does not include a recipe labelled specifically for a sensitive stomach. What we carry is a Sensitive Skin formula, everyday adult food and puppy food, none of which is the same thing as a dedicated digestive-sensitivity recipe. If it is a sensitive stomach specifically you are trying to solve, here is what is actually available.
What Pro Plan we do stock
Our Pro Plan range covers everyday adult dry food across a few protein options, a Sensitive Skin formula built around a single easily digested protein, and puppy food for different growth sizes. Sensitive Skin and sensitive stomach sound similar but are not automatically the same product — a formula designed to reduce skin reactions is not necessarily the same recipe you would reach for if the issue is loose stools or an unsettled gut.
If your dog has been specifically recommended Pro Plan's dedicated sensitive digestion range by a vet or breeder, it is worth checking the exact recipe name against what is shown in the grid above before assuming it is the same thing — brand ranges change, and what one retailer stocks under a similar-sounding name is not guaranteed to match another's.
Other options for a genuinely sensitive stomach
If your dog has ongoing digestive sensitivity, our wider sensitive-diet range includes several brands built specifically around single, easily digested proteins and limited ingredient lists, which is the feature that actually matters for a sensitive stomach rather than the brand name on the front.
A dog with a genuinely sensitive stomach, meaning recurring loose stools, vomiting or discomfort rather than an occasional one-off, is worth taking to your vet before working through foods by trial and error. A prescription gastrointestinal diet may be the right answer, and that is something your vet would need to recommend directly rather than something available off a shop shelf.

Common questions
- Does Pro Plan make a sensitive stomach dog food?
- Pro Plan does produce digestive-focused formulas as part of their wider range, but it is not one of the lines we currently stock. What we carry is their everyday adult, Sensitive Skin and puppy formulas, so check the exact product name carefully if you have been recommended a specific Pro Plan recipe elsewhere.
- Is Pro Plan Sensitive Skin the same as sensitive stomach food?
- No, not necessarily. Sensitive Skin is formulated primarily around reducing skin reactions using an easily digested protein, which can help some dogs with digestive sensitivity too, but it is not marketed or formulated specifically for gut issues the way a dedicated sensitive stomach recipe is.
- What should I feed a dog with an ongoing sensitive stomach?
- See your vet before changing foods repeatedly on your own, since ongoing digestive upset can have several causes and a vet can rule out anything more serious first. Once other causes are ruled out, a single-protein, limited-ingredient diet from our sensitive-diet range is a reasonable starting point, introduced gradually alongside the current food.
