Forthglade dog food
Forthglade is a British dog food brand best known for its natural wet trays and pouches, including grain-free recipes and a range aimed specifically at puppies. We stock a selection from Forthglade as one of the natural wet options on our shelves, alongside the bigger premium and everyday brands either side of it.
Who Forthglade are
Forthglade's range centres on wet food in trays and pouches rather than a large dry range, made with natural ingredients and marketed around minimal processing. Recipes span grain-free and cereal-inclusive options, and the puppy range is a genuine strength of the brand, built around softer, easily digestible recipes for young dogs still weaning onto solid food.
The natural-ingredients positioning tends to appeal to owners looking for a wet food without a long list of additives, rather than owners chasing the cheapest price per kilo. It is a genuinely different shelf position to a big value brand, even though both are widely available in the same aisle, often side by side on the same shelf.
What we stock, and who it suits
We stock a selection from the wider Forthglade range rather than the whole catalogue, spanning wet trays and pouches for adult dogs and puppies. What is shown in the grid on this page reflects what is currently available to order, which can change as stock does.
This is a brand that tends to suit owners looking for a natural wet food, whether that is a grain-free recipe or a softer option for a puppy, rather than those specifically wanting a dry kibble. As with any food, whether a particular recipe suits your dog comes down to their age, size and any known sensitivities rather than the brand name on the tray.

Common questions
- Is Forthglade a good brand of dog food?
- Forthglade is a natural wet food brand with a genuine strength in puppy recipes. Whether it suits your dog comes down to their age, size and any known sensitivities, the same as with any food, rather than the brand name alone.
- Does Forthglade make dry dog food?
- Forthglade's range centres on wet food in trays and pouches rather than a large dry range. If you specifically want a dry kibble, it is worth checking what is actually available from Forthglade before assuming the whole catalogue includes a dry option.
- Is Forthglade suitable for puppies?
- Yes, puppy recipes are a genuine part of the Forthglade range, generally built to be softer and easier to digest for young dogs weaning onto solid food. Check the specific recipe is labelled for puppies before feeding it, the same as with any brand.
- Does Giddy Pets stock the whole Forthglade range?
- No. We stock a selection from the range rather than every recipe Forthglade makes. What is shown in the grid above reflects what we currently have available to order, and that can change as stock does.
- Is Forthglade grain-free?
- Some recipes are and some are not — Forthglade sells both grain-free and cereal-inclusive options across its range, so check the specific pack rather than assuming the whole brand follows one approach. A dog with no known grain sensitivity does not need a grain-free recipe specifically.
