Dogs rarely arrive at this kind of food by choice. They arrive by elimination — something disagreed with them, the vet said keep it simple for a fortnight, and their owner starts reading ingredient lists properly for the first time in years. A very short list is the whole product.

Each tray here is one meat and almost nothing else. Just Chicken is chicken at 90% plus minerals; Just Lamb is lamb at 90% plus minerals; Just Beef is beef at 90% plus minerals, and Forthglade give the nutritional additives as none. The case is 12 trays of 395g, four of each. The analyses differ a little by meat: chicken runs crude protein 11.5%, fat 8.5%, fibre 0.2%, ash 4% and moisture 75%, lamb runs 11% protein and 8% fat, and beef is the leanest at 5.5% fat with ash 3% and moisture 78%.
