Company of Animals
Company of Animals is best known here for the Halti no-pull harness, a crash-tested CarSafe travel harness, and the Bite Force range of Kevlar-reinforced chew toys shaped like sea creatures. It is a training and equipment brand rather than a food brand, aimed at dogs that pull on the lead, dogs that travel in the car, and dogs that go through toys quickly.
You might also want to browse front-clip walking harnesses, puzzle and enrichment toys and indestructible dog toys.
The equipment side
The Halti No Pull Harness, including an orange version, uses a front-clip design that discourages pulling by redirecting a dog forward rather than letting them lean into the lead the way a back-clip harness allows. It is one of the more established no-pull designs on the market and suits dogs still learning loose-lead walking.
The CarSafe Crash Tested Harness is a different product for a different job: it is built and tested specifically for restraining a dog in a vehicle, which is not something a walking harness is designed to do. If your dog travels regularly, this is the harness for the car rather than the one for the park.
The Bite Force range
Bite Force toys are Kevlar-reinforced chew toys shaped as sea creatures — a clownfish, crab, starfish, shark and octopus among them — aimed at dogs that get through softer toys quickly. The Kevlar layer is there to extend how long a determined chewer can enjoy the toy before it gives out, not to make it indestructible.
As with any hard-wearing chew toy, supervise a new toy the first few times and size it appropriately for your dog, since even a reinforced toy is not a substitute for matching the toy to how your individual dog chews.

Common questions
- Is the Halti harness the same as a Halti head collar?
- No, they are different products from the same brand — the head collar fits around the muzzle and head, while the harness fits around the body with a front-clip lead attachment. Both aim to reduce pulling, but they work in different ways and suit different dogs.
- Can I use the CarSafe harness for everyday walks as well as the car?
- It is built and tested specifically as a travel restraint, so while it can physically be worn for a walk, a dedicated walking harness will generally be more comfortable for regular use. Keep the CarSafe for the car and use a separate harness for daily walks.
- Are Bite Force toys suitable for all dogs?
- They are aimed at moderate to strong chewers rather than every dog, and size matters — a toy scaled for a large breed is not right for a small dog and vice versa. Always supervise a dog with any new chew toy until you know how they handle it.
- How do I know if my dog needs a no-pull harness?
- If your dog consistently leans into the lead, drags you toward things it wants, or a normal collar and lead walk has become an arm workout rather than a walk, a no-pull harness like the Halti is worth trying. It works alongside training rather than instead of it, and most dogs still benefit from loose-lead practice even once they are wearing one.
