Size guide & how to measure
Harnesses are sized by the chest (girth) — the measurement around the widest part of the ribcage, just behind the front legs.
How to measure
- Stand your dog up squarely.
- Wrap a soft tape around the widest part of the chest, just behind the front legs.
- Keep two fingers under the tape so the fit is snug, not tight.
- If your dog is between sizes, choose the larger one.
| Size | Typical chest / girth | Rough guide |
|---|---|---|
| XS | 28–40 cm | Toy breeds, very small dogs |
| S | 38–53 cm | Small dogs (e.g. Dachshund, Yorkie) |
| M | 50–68 cm | Medium dogs (e.g. Cocker Spaniel, Beagle) |
| L | 65–85 cm | Large dogs (e.g. Labrador, Boxer) |
| XL | 82–105 cm | Giant breeds (e.g. German Shepherd, Rottweiler) |
Ranges are approximate and vary by style. Always check this product’s Specifications for its exact measurements.
Full description
A dog that pulls hard enough to tow its owner down the street usually isn't being stubborn, it's just following the physics of a harness clipped at the back, which is exactly the point a front-clip design is built to change.
The Halti No Pull Harness combines a no-pull lifting action with front control steering, and Company of Animals say it can be used on its own or paired with the Halti Training Lead for the strongest pullers. It's a lightweight design with padded chest and leg straps, and it's a good option for flat-nosed breeds who can't wear a headcollar. This listing is in orange, across the sizes stocked in the range.

- Padded chest and leg straps
- Lightweight design for full range of movement
- A suitable option for flat-nosed breeds who can't wear a headcollar
- Colour: orange

On sizing. Company of Animals describe the Halti No Pull Harness as fully adjustable and available in a range of sizes — their own copy mentions three, though this listing carries variants across a wider size run, so use their size guide against your dog's measurements rather than a single number, and size down if your dog is a strong, determined puller.
Who it's for: owners of a dog that pulls hard on a normal lead or back-clip harness, including flat-nosed breeds who can't safely wear a head collar.

Why we chose it
Front-clip steering is the actual mechanism that stops a strong puller in their tracks, rather than just cushioning the pull like a padded harness alone would. Being usable together with the Halti Training Lead for the hardest pullers also means there's a next step if the harness alone isn't enough.
