Size guide & how to measure

Harnesses are sized by the chest (girth) — the measurement around the widest part of the ribcage, just behind the front legs.

How to measure

Stand your pet up squarely.
Wrap a soft tape around the widest part of the chest, just behind the front legs.
Keep two fingers under the tape so the fit is snug, not tight.
If your pet is between sizes, choose the larger one.

Most dogs that pull do it from the chest, not the neck, which is why steering a harness from the front changes how a walk feels almost immediately, even before any training has happened.

The Halti No Pull Harness works two ways at once: a lifting action that discourages pulling, and a front D-ring for steering, which the Company of Animals say can be used on their own or together depending on how strongly a dog pulls. It's padded at the chest and legs, comes in four sizes, and is fully adjustable within each size.
