Country dog food
Country is one of the everyday, budget-priced dog food ranges on our shelves, sitting alongside the bigger premium names either side of it. It is not a boutique brand with a story behind every ingredient — it is a straightforward, no-frills food built to a price, and for a lot of dogs that is exactly what is needed.
You might also want to browse antler and root chews, dog puzzle toys and slow feeder bowls.
Where Country sits in the market
Country belongs to the value end of the dry and wet dog food shelf rather than the premium end. Recipes at this price point are built around cost-effective, widely available ingredients rather than a single named protein or a grain-free formulation, and the packaging is plain rather than glossy. That is not a criticism — it is what a budget range is for, and plenty of dogs do perfectly well on it.
We stock Country the same way we stock the bigger names, and it is one of the ranges Matt picks up, packs and posts himself.
What we stock, and who it suits
We stock a small selection from the wider Country range rather than the whole catalogue — what is shown in the grid above is what we currently have in and available to order. That can change as our own stock does, since a value range is exactly the kind of stock that turns over quickly and gets swapped for whatever is available that week.
Country tends to suit owners who want a straightforward, affordable everyday food rather than a specific grain-free, single-protein or prescription-style diet. As with any food, whether a particular recipe agrees with your dog comes down to their age, size and any known sensitivities rather than the name on the bag — a budget recipe that suits one dog will not automatically suit another.
If your dog doesn't get on with it
Any change of food, Country included, is worth introducing gradually over several days alongside whatever your dog already eats, rather than swapping the bowl over in one go. Watch their stools and appetite during the changeover.
If your dog seems unsettled on a new food, or the change does not settle within a few days, that is worth a call to your vet rather than persisting with it or trying a string of different bags.

Common questions
- Is Country a good brand of dog food?
- Country is a budget, widely available range rather than a premium one. It will suit dogs who do well on a straightforward, affordable everyday food — what matters most is still whether the specific recipe suits your dog's age, size and any sensitivities, the same as with any brand.
- Does Giddy Pets stock the whole Country range?
- No. We stock a selection from the range rather than every product Country makes, and what is available can change as our own stock does. The grid above reflects what we currently have to order.
- Is Country dog food grain-free or hypoallergenic?
- Country is a standard everyday range rather than one built around a grain-free or single-protein formulation. If your dog needs a specific diet for a sensitivity, a dedicated sensitive or grain-free food is a better starting point than a budget everyday range.
- What if my dog doesn't take to a new food?
- Introduce any new food gradually over several days rather than switching all at once, and watch their stools and appetite. If your dog seems unwell or the change does not settle, speak to your vet rather than persisting with it.
