Full description

Salmon does not have to dominate a recipe to earn a place in its name. On this panel chicken leads at 29%, while salmon supplies 22%, making the balance clear enough to compare with fish-led foods.

The chicken total includes 4% trimmings and the salmon total includes 4% frames. Raspberry is 4%; apple, peas, swede and carrots are 3% each; spinach is 1%, with seaweed and minerals also listed. The complete 600G food has 11% protein, 6.5% fat and 102 kcal/100g. The description states no grain. Those figures apply to this chicken-and-salmon recipe specifically. The full pack contains 600G of complete food.

600G pack
Chicken 29% and salmon 22%
Chicken trimmings 4%
Salmon frames 4%
Complete dog food
Energy 102 kcal/100g

Chicken remains the lead ingredient. This is not a fish-only recipe and will not suit a dog avoiding poultry. The supplied panel provides no feeding quantity, so portions should be taken from the current packaging.

Who it's for: dogs whose owners want a complete chicken-and-salmon food with both animal proportions and constituent parts declared.

Why we chose it

The honest appeal is the substantial 22% salmon beside 29% chicken. Publishing both figures prevents the salmon wording from being read as either token inclusion or a majority it does not have.
