Switching a hamster onto a new food too quickly is one of the more common ways to upset a small stomach, which is why the feeding guidance here is about the changeover as much as the food itself.

It's a single-nugget mix built from wholegrain wheat, wholegrain barley, wheat feed, dried peas (8.5%), grass meal, linseed (4.5%), soya oil, minerals, pea protein and yeast — formed into one crunchy nugget rather than a mixed seed bowl a hamster could pick through and leave half of.

• Dried peas 8.5%, linseed 4.5%
• Protein 15%, fat 7.5%, crude fibre 5.5%, crude ash 5.5%
• Single-nugget format, designed to stop selective feeding
• Contains vitamins A, D3 and E, plus trace elements
• Introduce gradually over 7 days when changing food
• 750G bag

What's not on this card. Country Values state that vitamin A, D3 and E and several trace elements are included, but don't itemise the exact mg/kg figures on this page the way some of their other ranges do — the nutrients are there, the precise dosing isn't published to us.

Who it's for: owners of hamsters wanting a single-nugget complete food that stops them picking out favourite bits and leaving the rest.
