Autarky puppy food
Autarky is a British dog food brand, and its puppy recipe sits alongside the wider adult and grain free ranges as a complete food formulated for growth. It's positioned as a straightforward, mid-market option rather than either the cheapest or the most premium brand on the shelf.
What the puppy recipe is built around
Autarky Puppy/Junior Delicious Chicken is a complete dry food built around chicken as the named protein, formulated to support the nutritional needs of a growing dog through to the end of the junior stage. Like most puppy foods, it's more calorie and nutrient dense than an adult recipe, reflecting how much energy growth actually takes.
Autarky's wider range, including its grain free options, follows the same British-made positioning, so if your dog does well on the puppy recipe, moving them onto an adult Autarky food later on is a reasonably natural next step, though it's still worth checking the specific recipe suits your dog at that stage.
What we stock, and who it suits
Our range currently includes Autarky Puppy/Junior Delicious Chicken, and we stock a selection from the wider Autarky range rather than the whole catalogue. What's shown in the grid below is what we currently have available to order.
This suits owners looking for a British-made, mid-market complete puppy food built around a single named protein, rather than those seeking a specific limited-ingredient or prescription diet. As with any puppy food, check the feeding guide against your puppy's current weight and expected adult size, and speak to your vet if you're ever unsure about the transition to adult food.

Common questions
- Is Autarky a good puppy food?
- It's a reasonable mid-market option built around a named protein source, formulated for a growing puppy's needs. Whether it's the right fit for your puppy comes down to their individual size, breed and any known sensitivities, the same as with any food.
- When should I move my puppy from Autarky puppy food to adult food?
- This depends on your puppy's breed and expected adult size — smaller breeds generally reach maturity sooner than large ones. Check the guidance on the packaging and ask your vet if you're unsure when to make the switch.
- Does Giddy Pets stock all of Autarky's puppy range?
- We currently stock the Puppy/Junior Delicious Chicken recipe rather than every option Autarky makes for puppies. What's shown in the grid above reflects what's available to order right now.
- Is Autarky puppy food grain free?
- The standard Puppy/Junior recipe includes grain; Autarky offers grain free options within its wider adult range for owners specifically looking for that. Check the packaging of the individual product for its full ingredient list.
