Frozen raw dog food nuggets
Frozen nuggets are raw dog food pressed into small, portioned pieces rather than sold as a solid frozen block, which makes measuring out a meal far more straightforward than breaking chunks off something larger. Why the nugget shape matters
A solid frozen block has to be broken or cut down to feed a partial portion, which is messy and makes it hard to feed a precise amount, especially for smaller dogs who only need a fraction of a full block per meal. Nuggets are already portioned into small pieces, so you simply take out roughly the number your dog needs rather than sawing at a frozen lump.

Feeding and storage basics
Thaw nuggets in the fridge rather than at room temperature, and feed within the time stated on the packaging once defrosted — raw food spoils faster than kibble and should not sit out. Keep frozen nuggets in a dedicated section of the freezer if you can, separate from human food, for the same hygiene reasons you would apply to any raw meat.
Introduce a new raw food gradually alongside whatever your dog currently eats, over several days, rather than switching all at once, since a sudden change in diet is the most common cause of an upset stomach when starting raw feeding.
