Full description

A bag called Beef Nuggets still deserves a look at the second ingredient. The verified composition gives beef and chicken equal billing at 30% each, so this is a mixed-meat recipe rather than a beef-only option.

Brown rice accounts for 16%, peas 8%, and carrots and swede 5% each. Pea fibre, sunflower oil, minerals, yucca and green tea are also listed. The nuggets are complete dog food with 12% protein, 9% fat and 165 kcal/100 g; the maker describes approximately 58 nuggets in the 1KG pack. The bag is sold frozen.

1KG frozen nugget bag
Beef 30% and chicken 30%
Brown rice 16%
Complete dog food
Protein 12% and fat 9%
Approximately 58 nuggets per pack

Not a single-meat beef food: chicken is present at the same 30% level as beef. No daily feeding table is included with the supplied facts, and the approximate nugget count should not be read as a portion instruction.

Who it's for: owners seeking a complete frozen beef-and-chicken recipe who are happy with rice and do not need a chicken-free food.

Why we chose it

Equal parts beef and chicken make this more candidly described as a two-meat recipe. That is the deciding point for me, because it prevents someone choosing the beef name and discovering chicken only after purchase.
