A traditional multi-coloured complete dry food, the kind where each colour of kibble is a different component. It is a complete food, so it needs nothing alongside it.

The composition is refreshingly specific about where the named ingredients are: 4% chicken is in the pale disc, 4% peas are in the green piece. That is more honest than most open-category foods, which name a percentage and leave you guessing. The rest is cereals, meat and animal derivatives, vegetable derivatives, oils, fats and minerals, with a full vitamin and trace element declaration.

Chicken is 4% and the food is named after it. That is legal and it is common at this end of the market, but it means the protein is coming from cereals and unnamed meat and animal derivatives rather than from chicken. The panel Webbox publish also reads unusually for a dry food and is worth checking against the bag you buy.

Who it's for: households feeding several dogs on a budget, where a complete food at a low price per kilo is the deciding factor.

How much do I feed?

Webbox publish a feeding table on the sack and refer to it on their page; the table itself is not readable as text on the site, so we have quoted only their written guidance, which is to adjust to keep your dog lean and active.

Is it complete?

Yes. Vitamins, minerals and trace elements are declared per kilo.

Are there colours in it?

Yes, colours and antioxidants are both declared as additives. The different coloured pieces are part of the format.
