Small dogs lose heat quickly. There is more surface area for the body mass, less coat over the belly, and the cold ground is a great deal closer, which is why a chihuahua or a whippet plants their feet at the door on a frosty morning while the labrador is already halfway down the street. A padded coat settles that argument rather than winning it by force.

The shell is water-resistant, so drizzle beads and runs off instead of soaking through into the padding, and the padded body holds a layer of warm air against the back and sides. A fluffy fur collar closes the gap at the neck where draughts get in first, and a zip pocket detail finishes the front. It fastens securely so it stays where it should while your dog runs, and it comes in pink, blue and red.
