How to measure
- Wrap a soft tape around the widest part of the chest, just behind the front legs.
- Weigh your dog and check it falls within the size's weight band.
- Compare both against the chart — allow 1–2 cm for manual measurement.

Full description
Puppies and very small dogs need a harness that goes on without a wrestling match, because the fitting is where the association gets made. A dog held down and posted through straps every morning quickly learns to disappear when the lead comes out. A step-in vest is the easy version of the same thing: put it on the floor, front paws in, fasten over the back, and you are out of the door.
The vest is gingham-checked with a cartoon bear face across the chest, and there is a soft padded panel sitting behind that print, so the fabric rests on cushioning rather than directly on the chest. Adjustable straps take up the slack as a puppy grows through a size, and a matching rope lead is supplied with it, so there is nothing else to buy before the first walk. It weighs very little, which is what a small frame needs.
