A dog that pulls puts all its weight onto a narrow band across the throat or chest, and a no-pull harness exists to spread that load across a broader area the animal can actually carry. That is the job this Truelove does, and it does it in fabric rather than webbing alone, so the parts pressing hardest against your dog stay soft, breathable and forgiving over the length of a proper walk.

The body is a breathable cotton fabric, which behaves differently from the nylon most harnesses use: it sits cooler against the skin in warm weather and does not chafe the way a thin strap can when a dog leans into it hard. Adjustable straps let you tune the fit rather than settle for whichever notch happens to be closest, and the reflective detailing picks up headlights on the dark winter walks when being seen actually matters.

• Breathable cotton fabric body rather than plain nylon webbing
• No-pull construction that spreads pressure across the chest
• Reflective detailing for visibility on dark walks
• Adjustable straps for a fit you can fine-tune
• Floral print, shown here in red

On sizing: a harness is measured at the chest girth, the distance right round the body just behind the front legs, and that measurement decides the size rather than your dog's weight or breed. Take it with a tape, over whatever coat your dog actually wears, and size up if the number falls between two options. Worth noting as well that the wider range runs to navy blazer and saxony blue, so check the colour you have selected before ordering.

Who it's for: Owners of dogs who pull and who want a soft, breathable everyday harness rather than a training tool that works by causing discomfort.
