A sensitive-recipe name is only useful when the composition tells you exactly which cereals and animal ingredients remain in the bag.

Skinner’s Field & Trial Chicken & Rice is complete dry food for adult dogs, offered here in two bag sizes. Brown rice accounts for 37.8%, while poultry meat meal is 27.5% and is declared as at least 95% chicken. Naked oats, peas, whole linseed, beet pulp and poultry fat also appear. The analysis gives 25% protein, 10% fat, 6% crude ash, 2.8% crude fibre, 1.26% omega-3 and 353 kcal/100g.

Read “hypoallergenic” carefully: wheat, maize and barley are absent from the stated composition, but naked oats, poultry fat and a vitamins-and-minerals blend remain. Under 10kg: up to 150g daily; 10–20kg: 150–260g; 20–32kg: 260–400g; 32–45kg: 400–500g; 45kg and over: 450g or more. Feed dry or add a little water, keep fresh water available, and account for breed, size and activity level. The label does not replace an individual ingredient check for a dog with a known intolerance.

Who it's for: adult-dog owners comparing wheat-free chicken and rice foods who want the full ingredient order and analysis, plus a choice between smaller and larger bags.
