Full description
A dog left home alone often settles faster with something that smells like its owner nearby, which is the actual mechanism behind a 'comfort toy' rather than the toy itself doing anything special.
This is Rosewood's My Dog Monkey: a luxury plush toy with a flat tummy that opens and closes with velcro, meant to be stuffed with something carrying your scent so the toy smells like home while you're out. It includes crinkle paper for extra noise and a 4.5cm squeaker. Rosewood assign each animal in the range a set of personality traits; Monkey's are problem solver, independent, cheeky, curious and clever.
- Luxury plush construction
- Flat tummy, closes with velcro, for stuffing with a scented item
- Crinkle paper and a 4.5cm squeaker included
- Monkey design, with Rosewood's own 'character' traits assigned
On the personality traits. 'Problem solver, independent, cheeky, curious, clever' is Rosewood's own marketing framing for this design, not a temperament match backed by anything beyond the label — pick the animal you or your dog likes the look of, rather than reading too much into the character description.
Who it's for: dogs that get anxious left alone, and owners willing to stuff the toy with something that smells like them before leaving the house.

What is it made from?

Why we chose it
The velcro tummy is the actual feature that matters here — most 'comfort toys' don't let you add your own scent, they just claim to soothe a dog through squeak and fluff alone. That's a genuinely different mechanism, not just a different shape.
