Full description
Kittens test a scratching post differently to an adult cat — with less bodyweight to anchor a wobble, a post that's fine for a full-grown cat can still tip for a kitten learning to climb it.
The Dijon is Rosewood's kitten-sized cat post, measuring 31 x 31 x 40cm (L x W x H) in grey and cream. At 1.04kg parcelled it's noticeably lighter than Rosewood's larger posts in this range, in keeping with its smaller footprint.
- 31cm x 31cm x 40cm (L x W x H)
- Grey and cream colourway
- Sized for kittens
- Parcel weight 1.04kg
On the material. Rosewood don't specify what the post itself is covered in — no seagrass, sisal or fabric is named on this card, only the colours and dimensions. If the covering material matters to you, it isn't stated here.
Who it's for: owners of a kitten needing its first scratching post, sized and priced for a smaller cat rather than a full-height adult post.

Why we chose it
A kitten-specific size means less wasted material and a lower price point for something a growing cat will likely outgrow anyway. At 1.04kg it's also light enough that a kitten can knock into it without the whole thing coming down.
