Full description
Puppies learn what walking on a lead feels like from whatever you put on them first, and a collar teaches them that pulling hurts their throat. A chest harness moves that pressure onto the breastbone and ribs, which is far stronger ground, and takes the risk out of the enthusiastic lunge at a passing leaf that every young dog is going to make sooner or later.
The straps are padded and broad rather than thin cord, so load spreads across the chest instead of cutting into a single line, and they adjust to keep pace with a puppy growing through its first months. The matching lead clips to the back ring. It is a studded faux leather rather than hide, which is worth saying plainly since it is often listed simply as leather, and in practice it wipes clean easily and does not mind rain.
