Full description
A dog that can reach the end of its lead and keep going is a dog that's about to pull you off balance, over a fence, or straight into the road - a fixed anchor point takes that risk out of the equation.
This is a ground stake measuring 48cm, designed so any lead can be clipped to it, giving a dog a secure point to be tethered to outdoors.
- Ground stake, 48cm long
- Any standard lead can be attached to it
- Designed to give a secure outdoor tether point
- Suitable for dogs
One thing worth knowing. there's no stated weight limit or ground-type guidance on this listing - a stake that holds firm in soft lawn soil may not grip the same way in dry, compacted ground, and PetGear don't specify a maximum dog size or pulling force it's rated for.
Who it's for: owners who want a secure outdoor tether point in the garden, at a campsite or similar, rather than holding a lead by hand the whole time.

Why we chose it
A stake is the simplest possible way to give a dog a fixed point outdoors without watching the lead every second, and 48cm is long enough to get a real grip in the ground. It's a straightforward, no-frills piece of kit rather than anything more elaborate.
