How to measure
- Measure the chest circumference at its widest point, just behind the front legs.
- Measure the back length from the base of the neck to the base of the tail.
- Measure the neck circumference where a collar would sit, then compare with the figures below.

Full description
Larger dogs get overlooked when it comes to winter coats. Most ranges stop at XL and leave anyone with a greyhound, a lurcher or an ageing labrador with nothing that actually fits. This one starts at L and runs up to 5XL, which is the real reason to look at it. The build is a windproof outer over padded insulation, with a high collar that covers the throat, where thin-coated dogs lose heat fastest.
There is an opening through the back panel for a harness lead attachment, so your dog can wear a harness underneath and still be clipped on without the coat being lifted or the lead running under fabric. Contrast panels break up the colour. The shell blocks wind rather than heavy rain, and the padding holds body heat in. It adjusts round the chest and belly so the coat does not swing round on a running dog.
