How to measure

Back length: measure along the spine from the base of the neck (collar area) to the base of the tail.
Chest: measure around the widest part of the ribcage, behind the front legs.
If the two measurements suggest different sizes, choose by back length and allow for the chest.

Full description

Small dogs lose heat quickly, and a short or fine coat does very little once the temperature drops towards freezing. A knitted jumper works differently to a waterproof coat: it traps warm air against the body and moves with the dog rather than sitting stiffly over the back. This one is bright red, patterned with pink love-hearts and finished with yellow and blue striped trim at the edges.

The knit is soft and stretchy, so it pulls on over the head without a wrestling match and hugs the body closely enough to hold warmth in without pinning the shoulders. That close fit matters more than it sounds: a loose jumper lets cold air in at the chest and rides up over the back halfway round the block, which is why baggy hand-me-downs never quite work. Five sizes are offered, all in the same red love-heart colourway.
