Full description
The worst part of a wet dog is not the dog. It is the ninety seconds after the door opens, when one shake sends the field they have just run through up your hallway wall. A drying robe intercepts that. You wrap the dog before they get the chance, the microfibre pulls water out of the coat, and whatever shaking does happen goes into fabric rather than your skirting boards.
Microfibre works by drawing water off the hair shaft and holding it in the split fibres, which is why a robe takes a coat down to damp faster than a bath towel of the same weight. Hook-and-loop straps close at the neck and again at the belly, so the robe grips at the two places a dog's shape actually narrows. That is what keeps it in place while they mooch about rather than sliding off within a minute.
