Full description
A harness earns its keep by taking the pull off the throat. A dog leaning into a collar is compressing its own windpipe, and for a flat-faced breed or anything with a history of a collapsing trachea that is not a small matter. A wrap-around vest spreads exactly the same force across the chest and shoulders, where the dog is built to carry it, and the walk gets calmer for both of you.
The chest panel here is padded and broad rather than a thin strap, and that is the detail deciding whether pressure is genuinely distributed or simply moved a few centimetres along. The fabric is breathable, so it does not become a heat trap on a summer walk, and reflective stitching runs through it for low light. Adjustable straps and a buckle set the fit, a back D-ring takes the lead, and a matching lead is included.
