Full description
A puppy's first teeth are considerably sharper and more sensitive than the adult set that follows, which is why a chew made for a fully-grown dog can be the wrong choice for a very young one.
This is Nylabone's Puppy Pacifier, made from a soft, durable nylon specifically for puppies cutting their first set of teeth. It's bacon flavoured, with the flavour infused throughout to hold a puppy's interest, and it's sized for dogs up to 7kg. Nylabone say it helps clean teeth and freshen breath as the puppy chews.

On sizing. At up to 7kg this suits a small puppy specifically, so it's worth checking your puppy's current weight rather than the breed's adult size - a puppy that's already approaching 7kg may need Nylabone's next size up rather than this one.
Who it's for: owners of a young puppy, up to around 7kg, who's just getting their first teeth and needs something softer than an adult chew.

Why we chose it
A chew made specifically for first teeth rather than a scaled-down adult version is worth the small extra thought, because a puppy's mouth genuinely is different at that stage. Bacon flavour also tends to work well for holding a young puppy's attention, which matters when everything else in the room looks equally chewable.
