Turmeric and boswellia have become the herbs owners reach for first when a dog starts slowing down, whether or not a vet has actually confirmed there's a joint problem behind it.

Nutriment's Freeze Dried Topper here is 95% chicken, with cranberry (2%) and beet pulp (0.8%) alongside small amounts of boswellia, ginger and turmeric at 0.2% each, and black pepper at 0.02%. It's a concentrated product meant for sprinkling rather than feeding as a meal: protein 60%, fat 14.5%, ash 7.5%, fibre 2%, moisture 3.5%. Nutriment class it as complementary — a topper, not a standalone complete meal — and like their other freeze-dried products it stores in a cupboard rather than a freezer.

• Chicken 95%
• Cranberry 2%, beet pulp 0.8%
• Boswellia, ginger and turmeric at 0.2% each
• Protein 60%, fat 14.5%, ash 7.5%, fibre 2%
• 50g pack, no freezer needed
• A topper, not a complete meal

What the herb amounts don't confirm. Boswellia, ginger and turmeric appear at 0.2% each — genuinely present, but the card gives no dosed or clinical amount alongside them, so this isn't something to rely on as a joint supplement in its own right. Treat it as an ingredient inclusion rather than a measured dose, and speak to a vet if a joint problem is actually suspected.

Who it's for: owners wanting to add protein and interest to an existing meal, rather than anyone looking for a dosed joint supplement or a complete meal replacement.
