Full description

Big dogs are not automatically warm dogs. A greyhound, a short-coated pointer or an older large breed with less muscle behind them loses heat quickly on a frosty morning, and the walk gets cut short long before the dog has had enough of it. This quilted coat is cut for exactly those dogs, in a run of sizes that begins roughly where most dog coats stop.

A high collar in a contrasting colour closes around the neck, which is where warmth escapes first, and the all-over print sits over a quilted body panel. It fastens under the belly rather than over the back, so the coat pulls snug against the body and stays put when your dog shakes or breaks into a run, instead of sliding sideways and ending up bunched under one leg. At 200 g to 230 g it is a real layer rather than a token one.
