A treat with one ingredient on the label is one a dog with a dodgy stomach can actually be given without a guessing game about what set it off. NAW's Beef Bladder Twists are exactly that — beef, and nothing else.

They're a natural, unprocessed chew: no flavourings added, no fillers, just dried beef bladder twisted into a shape a dog can work at. The analysis backs up the "no-nonsense" description on the pack — protein 56%, fat down at 3%, moisture 5%, ash 2% — which puts it in the high-protein, low-fat bracket rather than the fattier end of animal-part chews.

• 100% beef, single ingredient
• Protein 56%, fat 3%, moisture 5%, ash 2%
• Gluten and grain-free
• Suitable for dogs over 12 weeks
• 110g pack
• Supervised chewing, remove small pieces

What's not on the pack. NAW don't publish a chew duration, a length or weight for an individual twist, or a calorie count, so there's no way from what we hold to say how long one lasts or how it fits into a daily calorie allowance. Treat it as an occasional chew rather than a daily ration until you've seen how quickly your own dog gets through one.

Who it's for: owners after a single-ingredient chew for a dog with food sensitivities, or anyone who wants to know exactly what's going in without reading past three words on the packet.
