A flea comb only earns its keep if it actually catches what it's aimed at, which is a lower bar than it sounds - plenty of combs move fur about without doing much to the fleas hiding in it.

This is Mikki's Compact Flea Comb, made from plastic and designed to work on fleas and their eggs so they don't simply relocate further down the coat. It's easily washable, so the comb itself doesn't become somewhere fleas can hide between uses, and full instructions are printed on the back of the pack.
