Size guide & how to measure

Pet coats and jumpers are sized mainly by back length, with chest girth as a second check. Back length matters most for coverage.

How to measure

Back length: measure along the spine from the base of the neck (collar area) to the base of the tail.
Chest: measure around the widest part of the ribcage, behind the front legs.
If the two measurements suggest different sizes, choose by back length and allow for the chest.

Full description

Working dogs lose their sight to remarkably ordinary things: grass seeds, grit thrown off a track, wind at speed on the back of a bike. A visor across the eyes stops all of that, and a vented shell over the skull takes the knocks that come with dense cover and low branches. This is protective equipment rather than costume, and it only makes sense if you have a genuine reason to need it.

The shell is vented, which is what makes it wearable at all, since a solid helmet on a dog would simply become a heat trap within minutes. The goggle visor is clear and shatter-resistant, so a flying stone stops at the lens instead of breaking into the eye behind it. An adjustable chin strap holds the whole assembly in place at speed, and the ear covers are removable, which is how one product ends up fitting both a broad-headed dog and a narrow one. Two finishes are offered, black and mud colour.
