Dried turkey protein and dried potatoes each make up 25% of the mix — an even split rather than a mostly-meat recipe padded with starch — alongside sweet potato, pea protein and whole linseed. It is a complete grain-free food for puppies and junior dogs, and James Wellbeloved's stated approach across the range is to exclude beef, pork, soya, eggs, dairy and wheat.

On the factory. This is genuinely grain free by ingredients — no wheat, oats, rice or barley appear anywhere on the list. James Wellbeloved's own label does note it is produced in a factory that also handles grains and other protein sources, though, which is worth raising with your vet before relying on this bag alone if your puppy has a diagnosed allergy rather than a general sensitivity.
