How to measure
- Bust: measure right round the widest part of the chest, just behind the front legs.
- Back Length: measure along the spine from the base of the neck to the base of the tail.

Weight is given in catties (Chinese jin): 1 catty = 0.5 kg, so 1–4 catties is roughly 0.5–2 kg and 14–18 catties is roughly 7–9 kg. If between sizes, size up.

Full description
Short-coated dogs, small dogs and older dogs all lose heat faster than their owners expect, and the first sign is usually a reluctance to leave the door on a cold morning. A knitted layer solves that more comfortably than a padded coat does, because knit stretches with the dog rather than sitting stiff across the shoulders and rubbing at the front legs.
The stretchy knit is finished with ribbed collar, cuffs and hem, and ribbing is the detail that actually does the work: it grips lightly at the openings so warm air stays in around the neck and chest instead of being pumped out with every stride. It pulls on over the head and front legs, which takes seconds, and the leg openings are cut to let the shoulders move. Hand-wash and dry flat to keep the shape.
