Full description
A ball this size cannot be picked up, and that is the entire point. A collie or a shepherd with no sheep to move will nose, chest and shoulder a 45cm ball around the garden instead, which is the job they were bred for rather than a game of fetch they have finished with in four minutes.
The cover is 1800D polyester Oxford with a PVC coating, sewn over a separate inner bladder, so the part that takes the claws and the teeth is not the part holding the air. It arrives flat with a foot pump and a plug remover, and takes three to five minutes to bring up.

Inflate it hard. The instructions are blunt about this, and they are right: fill it until the cover is stretched smooth with no wrinkles, because a wrinkle gives a dog a bite point and a bite point is how a cover gets torn. Zip it closed, tuck the zip inside the cover, and keep the first few sessions supervised.
