Full description

The right amount for a puppy is a moving target, and a useful food label admits that by separating age as well as expected adult size.

Harringtons Puppy Turkey is complete dry puppy food in a 10KG bag. Turkey and meat meals account for 33%, including 7% dried turkey and 4% freshly prepared chicken. The ingredients also list maize, 5.6% rice, 15.5% oats, 5% chicken fat and a 1.8% omega blend. Its analysis gives 30% protein, 14% fat, 3.5% crude fibre, 8% crude ash and 383 Kcal/100g. The feeding table uses expected adult weight and age bands.

Turkey does not mean chicken-free. Freshly prepared chicken and chicken fat are both declared. The manufacturer separates feeding at 2–6 months from 6–12 months and says the figures are approximate, so portions should follow the puppy’s current band rather than the bag size.

Who it's for: puppy owners looking for a complete turkey-led dry recipe in a 10KG bag, with chicken acceptable and expected adult weight available for the feeding chart.

Why we chose it

The 33% turkey and meat meal figure makes the recipe easier to judge than the flavour name alone. Its feeding bands also recognise that the same puppy needs a different approach as it grows.
