Full description

A toy that only squeaks stops being interesting the moment a dog works out that's all it does.

The Hide-A-Tail Shark follows the same idea as the rest of Guru's Hide-A-Tail range: the tail stuffs inside the toy to form a ball, giving the dog something to work at rather than a toy that just lies there between squeaks. Treats can be hidden inside for an extra layer, and it's built with two layers of fabric to hold up to that kind of handling.

What we can't compare. This page covers both the Medium and Large Hide-A-Tail Shark, and Guru haven't given us measurements or a weight for either size, so we can't compare the two beyond the size code on the label.

Who it's for: dogs who lose interest in plain plush toys fast, and owners who like hiding treats inside to make playtime last longer.

Why we chose it

The puzzle element gives a dog a reason to keep coming back to it rather than abandoning it after the first squeak wears off. Two layers of fabric is a sensible baseline for a toy that's designed to be pulled apart on purpose.
