Tug toys tend to fail at the seams first, which is why running a single strand of rope straight through the centre of a toy, rather than stitching it to the surface, is a genuine strength decision rather than a cosmetic one.
The Space Lobber Tug has a single strand of rope running through the centre of the toy for added strength, backing added to the canvas fabric for further reinforcement, and a giggler sound built in for extra fun during tug games.

Who it's for: dogs that enjoy a proper tug game, and owners after a toy built with reinforcement in mind rather than a plain fabric tug.

Common questions
What makes it different from a plain tug toy?
A single strand of rope runs through the centre of the toy, and the canvas fabric has extra backing, both added for strength.
What sound does it make?
A giggler sound, built in for tug games.
What is the canvas backed with?
The card describes backing added to the canvas fabric for extra strength, without naming the backing material.
Is it suitable for strong chewers?
No chewer-strength rating is given, so treat the reinforcement as a strength feature for tugging rather than a guarantee against chewing.

Why we chose it
The rope-through-the-centre construction is a genuine strength feature rather than a marketing word. It's the reason to pick this over a toy that just glues rope to the outside.
