Full description
Most retractable-lead accidents happen at dusk, when a thin cord is nearly invisible against tarmac and a driver has no idea a dog is on the end of it.
flexi build a reflective protector belt into this cord lead specifically for that reason, alongside their usual braking system that locks the 5 metre cord at whatever length you've let out. It's rated for dogs up to 12kg and housed in a size SML case.
- 5m cord lead
- For dogs up to max. 12kg
- Reflective protector belt built in
- Comfortable braking system
- Can be customised with flexi's Multi Box and LED Lighting System
- Available in black, blue or red
On sizing: 12kg is flexi's stated ceiling for this model, and it applies to the cord and case together, not just the clip - a dog that's regularly pulling at the top of that weight is putting more strain on the brake than the lead is built for. Size up if in doubt.
Who it's for: owners of small to medium dogs who walk in low light and want the reassurance of a reflective lead as well as a retractable one.

Why we chose it
The reflective belt is the reason to choose this over a plainer cord lead at a similar price - it's a genuine visibility feature rather than a marketing add-on, and it costs nothing extra to have. Three colour options also make it easy to match or tell apart if there's more than one lead in the house.
