A working breed puppy's joints are doing more growing, on more uneven ground, than a companion breed puppy's — which is the argument for a puppy food with joint-support ingredients built in from the start, rather than added later once a problem has already shown up.

Skinner's Field & Trial Puppy leads with poultry meat meal at a minimum of 95% chicken (30%), then maize, brown rice, poultry fat, naked oats, prairie meal, beet pulp, sunflower meal, whole linseed, dried egg, vitamins and minerals, brewer's yeast, cellulose and marine algae meal. On top of that base it adds MOS at 2,500mg/kg, FOS at 1,000mg/kg, a herb blend at 750mg/kg, glucosamine at 250mg/kg, chondroitin sulphate at 150mg/kg and seaweed at 150mg/kg.
