Waterproof Non-Slip Dog Boots

Road salt in winter and hot tarmac in summer are the two things most likely to leave a dog limping home, and both are solved by putting something between the pad and the ground. These boots do that with a waterproof outer and a grippy non-slip sole, so wet pavements, mud and rough tracks stop being a reason to cut a walk short.

Each boot fastens with an adjustable strap carrying a reflective finish, which does two jobs at once: it lets you tighten the boot above the dew claw so it does not spin off mid-stride, and it puts a little light back towards drivers on a dark evening. On sizing: boot sizes here are numbered rather than matched to a breed, and the number you need comes from measuring the paw, not the dog. Stand your dog on paper, mark the widest points of a front paw and measure across, since front paws are usually the larger pair. Most dogs also need a few short indoor sessions before they will walk normally in boots at all.
