Size guide & how to measure
Leads are chosen by length and width rather than your dog’s body size. Pick the width to suit your dog’s strength and the length to suit how you walk.
How to measure
- Width: lighter, narrower webbing for small dogs; wider, thicker webbing for strong pullers and larger dogs.
- Standard lead (1.2–1.5 m): everyday pavement walks and training.
- Long line (3–10 m): recall practice and open spaces.
- Short / traffic lead (under 1 m): close control in busy areas.
| Length | Best for |
|---|---|
| Under 1 m | Traffic / close control |
| 1.2–1.5 m | Everyday walks (most popular) |
| 1.8–2 m | Relaxed walks, more freedom |
| 3 m + | Recall training, open spaces |
Always check this product’s Specifications for its exact length and width.
Full description
Small dogs in winter present two jobs at once: keeping them warm, and keeping them attached to you without hauling on a collar. This fleece jumpsuit does both by building a lead ring into the garment itself, high on the back between the shoulders, so the clip sits where a harness clip would sit and the pull is spread across the body rather than concentrated on the throat.
The fabric is fleece, chosen for warmth against weight, and the suit pulls on over the front legs rather than fastening around a fidgeting dog in the hallway. Because the ring is stitched into the back panel instead of dangling from a separate strap, there is nothing loose to snag on hedges, table legs or another dog's teeth. It comes in three colours and in sizes from XS through to XL.
- Fleece jumpsuit with a lead ring built into the back
- Sizes XS, S, M, L and XL
- Available in green, beige and yellow
- Pull-on design, no fastening around the chest
- Snag-free back ring instead of a separate attachment strap
- Priced at GBP 8.99
On what this ring can and cannot do. A ring stitched into fleece is fine for steady guidance on a lead with a small, calm dog. It is not a harness, and it is not the thing to trust with a dog who lunges or backs out of gear. If yours pulls hard, walk them on a proper fitted harness and treat the suit as clothing.
Who it's for: Owners of toy and small breeds who want one layer that keeps their dog warm and gives them light, even control on short everyday walks.

On what this ring can and cannot do
A ring stitched into fleece is fine for steady guidance on a lead with a small, calm dog. It is not a harness, and it is not the thing to trust with a dog who lunges or backs out of gear. If yours pulls hard, walk them on a proper fitted harness and treat the suit as clothing.
Why we chose it
The ring sits high on the back between the shoulders, where a harness clip would sit, so the pull spreads across the body rather than the throat. Fleece for warmth. For short everyday walks; a puller still wants a proper harness.
