Full description

Fish-based wet foods often run leaner on fat than meat-based ones, and the numbers on this one are worth reading if you're choosing between flavours for a dog that needs to watch its weight.

This is a pate terrine built on tuna at 51% with carrots at 8% — a genuinely substantial vegetable inclusion for a pouch this size — alongside rice, sunflower oil, minerals and fish oil.

100G pouch, pate terrine
Tuna 51%, carrots 8%
Protein 11%, fat content 2.5%, moisture 80%
79 kcal/100g

One thing worth knowing. At 79 kcal/100g and fat content of just 2.5%, this is one of the leaner pouches in the Cookhouse range — worth knowing whether that's a plus for a dog on a controlled diet or a reason to add a topper if your dog needs more calories.

Who it's for: an adult dog that does well on fish-based food, particularly where a lower-fat option matters, and an owner who likes seeing a genuinely stated vegetable content.

Cookhouse Dog Tuna & Carrots Pate Terrine — 15 x 100g Pouches

Why we chose it

Carrots at 8% is a properly stated figure, not a trace amount, which sets this apart from pouches that just print 'with vegetables' and move on. The lower fat content also gives us something genuinely different to offer alongside the richer flavours in the range.
