Full description
Buying a harness and a lead separately usually means one of them is the wrong weight for the other. A fine lead on a heavy harness looks odd and a heavy clip drags on a small dog's chest all walk. Buying them as a set gets round that, and here the lead is matched to the harness in both scale and colour, so a small dog ends up carrying hardware that suits them rather than whatever was left in the drawer.
The harness itself is soft corduroy over a padded step-in vest, and the bow at the chest detaches, which is more useful than a sewn-on one. Take it off for a muddy field, put it back on for the cafe, and wash the harness without worrying about crushing it. The wrap-around cut spreads the pull across the chest and shoulders and away from the throat, and an adjustable buckle with a back-mounted D-ring gives you a snug fit on a dog who might otherwise reverse out of a loose collar.
